WEEKLY MEETING RECAP: EAHS Arts & Culinary Delights
On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the club took a field trip to Elkhorn Area High School to enjoy lunch provided by the Culinary IV class, led by Jenny Wehmeier. Jenny shared a more in-depth understanding of the foods classes taught for teens in grades 9-12, and the recognition received by their club, FCCLA, on both a state and national level.
The lunch was followed by performances from both the Elkhorn Area High School show choir and Wind Ensemble band classes. Both groups showcased their efforts so far this trimester, as well as special performances by the ensembles who will be competing at the state-level Solo & Ensemble at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on May 2, 2026. It was a wonderful lunch of arts and culinary delights! Thanks, EAHS!

The 2027 International Convention Will Be In Barcelona!
Originally planned for Dubai, the 2027 Rotary International Convention will finally be held in Barcelona from June 26 to 30.
This strategic decision was taken due to the current geopolitical context in the Gulf region, in order to guarantee participants a peaceful, accessible and secure event.
This change illustrates Rotary’s ability to adapt to international challenges, while preserving the essentials: bringing together thousands of members from around the world around common values of service, friendship and peace.
Barcelona, an open, dynamic city with major infrastructure for large congresses, offers a particularly favorable setting to host this global event.
The Convention remains a key moment in Rotary life: inspiring conferences, intercultural exchanges, discoveries of humanitarian projects and celebration of collective impact.
In 2027, the Rotary community will therefore meet in Spain to continue its mission: to serve first and strengthen ties between peoples. Sign ups will begin later this year.
